Proven strategies that will help you achieve your goals in 2023.
This week, let’s choose a goal for 2023—a desired outcome for the next 90 days. It should be specific, measurable, and achievable. As a certified transformational life coach, I specialize in behavior change. I’ve helped clients from all walks of life set goals and develop a roadmap to crush those goals with accountability, support, and assistance.
Grab your pen and journal, and write down your goal right now. Here are two examples of how you should be more specific with your goals:
- I want to lose weight 🠊 I want to lose 15 pounds within the next 90 days.
- I want to be more spiritual 🠊 I want to commit 5 minutes per day for the next 90 days to meditation and breathwork.

After you write down your goal, ask yourself these questions:
- What will achieving this goal do for your life? Why is this goal so important to you? I’m looking for a deep emotion underneath the goal that will drive change and inspire you to take action.
- On a scale of one to 10, how important is this goal in your life right now? If it’s below an eight, it’s not important enough.
Finally, we’re going to anchor our goal. An anchor is something in our physical environment that is a reminder of why we’re doing this work and is something to inspire you to take action every day. Your anchor could be a note on the bathroom mirror, your favorite song, a fragrance, etc.
